Do you leak urine when you cough, sneeze, or engage in sports activities? Do you have a frequent need to get to the bathroom quickly? Have you lost control of or had difficulty emptying your bladder or bowel? Do you refrain from intimacy with your partner?
Over 200 million people worldwide are affected by incontinence. Due to factors such as the body‘s normal aging process, childbirth, menopause, or obesity, the pelvic floor muscles weaken and have trouble supporting the pelvic organs. These factors directly contribute to urinary incontinence.
What is a Vaginal Rejuvenation Chair and how does it work?
The Vaginal Rejuvenation Chair is a completely non-invasive treatment that helps both women and men reclaim their body. It uses a high intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to improve urinary incontinence. The chair stimulates muscle contractions in the pelvic floor and surrounding tissues to promote strength in the muscles that control the bladder and urinary system. This treatment delivers approximately 11,200 contractions in just one 30-minute session, which is equivalent to doing the exact same number of Kegel exercises.
What conditions can the Vaginal Rejuvenation Chair address?
• Involuntarily leaking urine when you exercise, laugh, cough or sneeze
• A frequent need to get to the toilet quickly or not getting there in time.
• Difficulty emptying bladder or bowel
• Loss of control of your bladder or bowel
• Involuntary flatulence
• A prolapse
• Pain in the pelvic area
• Pain during sexual intercourse
The Vaginal Rejuvenation Chair can also enhance sexual sensation and performance, especially in men and in postpartum and menopausal women. Our chair is unique as it is not only for incontinence, but also a vaginal rejuvenation that is non-surgical and non-invasive and can be carried out fully clothed. It can deliver innovative HIFEM technology and can deliver incredibly effective results in a very short treatment time, and give you back your control in only a few sessions, (depending on severity).
Not just for women
In men there are many factors that can affect men with leakage and bladder problems. The primary cause is related to the prostate. An enlarged prostate can be a factor in male incontinence as well as having had a prostatectomy and other treatments for prostate cancer. In addition to prostate issues, there are also several factors that can contribute to male incontinence such as neurological disorders, overweight, smoking and family history has a role as well.
What should I expect during my treatment?
When you have this treatment at Waves Aesthetics, you won’t even need to get undressed. You will relax in a comfortable chair, fully clothed. Each treatment is 30 minutes. The chair delivers HIFEM waves through the seat. During your session the electromagnetic energy penetrates deep into the structures of your pelvic floor to deliver thousands of contractions that improve muscle tone and increase urinary control. You will feel your pelvic floor muscles contracting, and you may experience some tingling during your session. There is no downtime following treatment so you may return to daily activities right away.
When will I see results?
You may notice an improvement shortly after your first treatment, and you will continue to see a gradual improvement over the next week or two after each appointment. In most cases, a series of six or more sessions is necessary for optimal results. The best way to know how many treatments are needed is to have a consult with one of our providers to ensure the best results just for you. We do offer a package of 14 if you are desiring a Butt Lift, which is part of the total body sessions. Waves Aesthetics offers a full body conditioning package that incorporates fat reduction, toning and tightening muscles, reducing cellulite, and even lifting and tightening your buttocks. The butt-lift package is equivalent to up to 2000 lunges and squats.
