What is an enzymatic facial?
The enzymatic facial is our newest and most gentle facial! We offer this exfoliating skincare treatment that uses natural enzymes derived from fruits such as papaya and pineapple or pumpkin. These enzymes dissolve dead skin cells and impurities.
Here is what it typically includes:
• Cleansing with a gentle cleanser used to remove dirt and oil, and makeup.
• Enzyme mask that is applied to the skin and left on for about 10-20 minutes. It works by breaking down keratin in dead skin cells.
• Extractions (optional) if needed, blackheads or clogged pores may be manually extracted
• Steam is sometimes used to open pores to enhance the enzyme activity.
• Toning helps to balance the skin’s pH after treatment
• Moisturizing with a hydrating or customized cream (per skin type) will be applied to soothe and protect the skin.
• SPF is applied directly after.
It is a great facial for sensitive skin or acne prone skin because it exfoliates without using harsh abrasive acids. A derma plane service can be used before or after the treatment.
